It’s a controlled ride at a social pace (28km/h). You’ll ride one of Cape Town’s best routes, safely and with good people. And that’s a wrap for @capeepic 2026! A tough last couple of days for our boys as illness hit them both hard, but through gritted teeth, they held their overall GC position of 5th in the Masters Category and 40th GC overall! Considering there were 30 elite teams competing, that’s pretty blumin impressive!! . I’m so proud of them! And super proud of Cam and Ollie, and Trystan and Matt (ours and the winners 😊) too - you all absolutely rocked it - and not without your own issues to tackle too. . They call Cape Epic a physical rollercoaster: staying well, navigating mixed weather and terrain etc, but it’s just as much an emotional rollercoaster as it is physical. Picking yourself up after the hard days, keeping your head knowing you’ve still got hundreds of km to go, puncturing, seeing positions drop away, regaining positions and feeling on top of the world! There is nothing physically or emotionally easy about this race! Anyone who manages to cross the finish line should be incredibly proud of themselves! .
