Guy Capecelatro, a longtime fixture of the Seacoast music scene whose career spans decades of experimentation, collaboration, and storytelling.
Originally from Mamaroneck, New York, Guy began playing guitar at age ten and has been immersed in music ever since. After studying philosophy and traveling across much of the United States, he settled in Portsmouth in the late 1980s, where he became deeply embedded in the local creative community.
Groove Atlas (if you didn’t know) bridges the gap between psychedelic rock and Americana, delivering a mix of nostalgia-inducing covers and original material that reflects the social and political landscape of today.
Their sound is fluid and responsive, shifting
instrumentation to match the moment - from the delicate textures of mandolin in intimate settings to the full force of electric guitars in high-energy rooms.
