Community is coming together this weekend to show support for OffCenter Community Arts Project and enjoy an afternoon of food and fun with John Brown Breakfast Club. So, it only makes sense for us to offer an extra day ensuring we hear from as many voices as are interested in submitting work to Issue Three of "The Burque Beat."
Look for us representing in our t-shirts at these events to submit your creation, or deliver your submission to OffCenter by Saturday, May 9th.

This limited edition, along with live readings by some of the published poets will be at Quirky Used Books & More this Saturday from 2-5pm. Join us on Saturday, April 25th from 2-5pm to meet our creators as they take their work from the page to the stage! Live music, great food, resources, and more for all to enjoy! There's no better way to celebrate our 1st Anniversary, Independent Bookstore Day, and National Poetry Month with community!
We're going LIVE!! Sharing works from the page on the stage at Quirky Used Books & More on Saturday, April 25th from 2:00-5:00pm. Come out to show your support for "The Burque Beat" creators, our partner organizations, and Quirky on Independent Bookstore Day!
Art & poetry will be provided by ArtStreet & Quirky; Food will be prepared by John Brown Breakfast Club; Clothing will be shared through A Light In the Night; Harm reduction resources will be provided by Casa de Salud; Music and more entertainment by "Say 11" and community members.
This will also be the publication day for our Street Poetry Zine and "The Burque Beat" t-shirts will be available (for a suggested contribution to keep us growing). Join in this fun community event for everyone!

We have t-shirts available for purchase! T-Shirt Lab supported us again printing a new design to offer attendees of our LIVE! event on April 25th! We’re excited to see these shirts worn by our readers around town!
Our final workshops for the Street Poetry Zine are happening this Sunday for any interested creators (submission deadline is April 17th). Please share the word, and join in our Spokes Council meeting after the workshops to help shape our path forward.
