She works with the violin as a partner, with friction-based sounds, with the mundane and the overlooked, and with found materials and unstable textures, allowing sound to emerge from what is already present.NATALIA MERLANO GÓMEZ is a musician, singer, improviser, creator, and teacher born in Colombia in 1987. Her interests include folk music worldwide, especially from Latin American countries, academic contemporary music, and experimental music. She is also interested in explorations around video and photography.SIVAN SILVER-SWARTZ makes experimental music through notated composition, installation, and performance. His music is frequently informed by counterpoint, tuning, memory, the transmission and aesthetics of notation, the political limitations of art, and the need to engage in organizing outside of the artistic sphere. He also is a devoted student of the 11-course lute and its French Baroque repertoire.T PUTNAM HILL is a musician and artist who works with various sonic materials—primarily field recordings and other incidental sounds, guitar, digital processing, and feedback systems—to produce shifting auditory environments that engage with notions of altered place, space, and fiction.
