Just got back from @secretsakumalresort and honestly… such a great experience navigating dietary restrictions here. Every restaurant had allergens clearly labeled and the staff consistently reconfirmed + guided me on what was safe to eat.
A few times, they even flagged cross-contamination before I asked 👏
Favorites: mole poblano at El Patio + tacos with fresh corn tortillas from the market buffet 🌮
The only miss for me was the French restaurant, Bordeaux. Personally, I wouldn’t recommend it; it was my only food disappointment.
If you’ve been nervous about traveling with food allergies, this felt like a safe and easy place to enjoy it all.

This egg roll bowl is one of those weeknight dinners you’ll keep coming back to 🤍
Ingredients
• 1 lb @iserniosausage ground chicken
• 1 bag coleslaw mix
• ¼ cup gluten-free soy sauce
• 1 tsp coconut aminos
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 tsp ground ginger
• salt & pepper, to taste
• sesame seeds
• chopped green onions
Spicy Mayo
• ¼ cup mayonnaise
• 2 tbsp hot sauce
Instructions
1. Cook ground chicken in a large pan over medium-high heat, breaking it up until browned (about 4–5 minutes).
2. Drain excess liquid and return to pan.
3. Add garlic, ginger, and coleslaw mix. Cook 3–5 minutes until softened.
4. Stir in soy sauce and coconut aminos.
5. Remove from heat and serve over rice.
6. Top with green onions, sesame seeds, salt & pepper.
7. Mix spicy mayo ingredients and drizzle on top.

Baked Honey Garlic Chicken Meatballs 🍯🧄
Made with @iserniosausage ground chicken and tossed in a sticky honey garlic sauce. Gluten-free, dairy-free, and perfect for meal prep or busy nights.
Chicken Meatballs
• 1 lb @iserniosausage ground chicken
• 1 egg
• ⅓ cup gluten-free breadcrumbs
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 tbsp olive oil
• ½ tsp salt
• ½ tsp black pepper
Honey Garlic Sauce
• ¼ cup honey
• 3 tbsp gluten-free tamari
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 tbsp rice vinegar
• 1 tsp sesame oil
Instructions (Reel-friendly)
1. Preheat oven to 400°F
2. Mix meatball ingredients until just combined
3. Roll into meatballs and place on a lined baking sheet
4. Bake 18–22 minutes, until cooked through
5. Simmer sauce ingredients in a small pan for 3–5 minutes
6. Toss the meatballs in the sauce
7. Finish with green onions + sesame seeds

Quick recipe:

Stir in 7 cups GF crispy rice cereal
Fold in 1 box birthday cake cookies + 2–3 tbsp rainbow sprinkles
Press into a 9×13 pan + let set 🎉
