Do we have any book taste in common?
I’ve been book influencing for almost 9 years and my taste in books is very far reaching across several genres. Im always willing to try something new and I love seeing value in all kinds of stories: I’m convinced that’s why I’ve never had a reading slump.
I review books weekly, my dms are always open and I’m here for a good non serious time! Come stay a while and let’s chat about the good stuff. ❤️
✨Let’s celebrate AAPI month with some amazing stories!✨
All of these I have read and recommend and have full reviews for on my page!
PLEASE tell me your favorite fantasy book from an Asian author because they usually end up being my favorites. ❤️
All of these have varying levels of emotional destruction. And I will have a part two coming ❤️

This Kingdom Will Not Kill Me by Ilona Andrews
My first portal fantasy was a hit! I really enjoyed this story: it felt like a standout from all the romantasy I have been consuming this year. It was a breath of fresh air and I very much enjoyed these characters. My first portal fantasy but definitely not my last. I will anxiously be awaiting this sequel!
I had some really fun chats with @bookaroundfindout and @bookishbeachbabe about this story!
Are you reading this one? If you’ve read it, did you enjoy it?

🌷BOOK REVIEW🌷
The Dukes Bargain by Megan Walker
What is your favorite historical romance you’ve read this year?!
THIS IS MY NEW FAVORITE from Megan.
The YEARNING.
Fantastic PLOT.
A Duke whereby all other dukes SHOULD be patterned after.
The small moments that built genuine romantic tension.
When a Duke and a lady build a bargain to fix a shattered reputation and trade a family heirloom, sparks and unintended feelings bloom.
This book was everything I hoped it would be and more. I had a hard time putting it down and couldn’t wait to get back to it. I so do love a forced proximity setting!
These two characters are very well crafted and entirely well suited for the other. Megan wrote so many moments filled with fantastic chemistry that I couldn’t get enough of.
It was lovely, heartfelt, angsty, romantic…..and if you love the sweet historical romance genre this is 100% one I wouldn’t pass on. It’s a spin off from other books but I definitely think you can just read this one on its own.
Thank you @authormeganwalker and @shadowmountainpub for my copy.
What’s a must read on your May list?!
I am very excited about all of these. If I can get 8 read that’s a massive accomplishment in my book ❤️ I’m mainly relying on audio these days due to our busy days and baby.
Thank you to the tagged publishers for my copies!!

LOVE YOU LATER by Julie Christianson
What’s your favorite marriage of convenience book?
If you enjoy sweet romance with a modern marriage of convenience trope then keep reading!
He’s loved her for a while and she’s just trying to keep her head above water. When they make a mutually beneficial deal they find that faking a marriage might lead to a real lasting love.
This was a darling read. I thought the two main characters had really fun chemistry as they built a sham life together. Bridger is a character who has to conceal his feelings because he’s finally getting everything he’s ever hoped for. Loren is someone who’s shouldered a lot and now has to take care of a father with progressing Alzheimer’s.
It’s a slow build with some good yearning on both ends. This is definitely a book that describes the phrase “if he wanted to he would.”
We also got some cute cameos from characters in the previous book as well which made for some fun goofy moments.
Another book in the harvest hollow small town series I enjoyed!
Thank you @juliechristiansonauthor for my book! My thoughts and opinions are my own 💙 I thought about a cover recreation but decided trying on my wedding dress 4 months PP was a bad idea haha

THE SCATTERED BONES by Nicole Scarano BOOK REVIEW
What is the last romance focused book you really enjoyed?
Thank you @bookishbyrenee for the fun rec! For sure a favorite in my romantasy journey this year. I was really impressed with this authors writing style and I’d definitely read another book from her!

I didn’t choose the book life, the book life chose me. 😅
Just having a little fun today with this one. As someone who works in bookish social media, and now has a full blown book problem (problem?) I feel like it’s consumed my life…but it’s a good issue to have.

✨BOOK REVIEW✨
What has been a book you cannot stop thinking about the year that emotionally impacted you?
The Burning Side by Sarah Damoff
Thank you @simon.audio and @librofm for my copy!
REVIEW:
There are some books that are so special they imprint themselves on a tiny piece of your soul. This was one of those books for me that I think on re read will be even more meaningful. The writing shined with beautiful honest simplicity among a complicated family landscape.
This is a poignant and heartfelt story that follows a family from new first impressions to the deepest of cuts. In sickness and in health. It is a story about loss and longing and all the tiny decisions in between.
What I loved most, is that these characters felt like real people. They are flawed and messy....learn to loathe and then forgive. In summary this is a story about how love and the tiniest bit of hope can heal, even if it feels like there isn’t much love left.
April is someone who I related to immensely as she navigates postpartum depression while keeping her marriage and identity afloat alongside of it. It is a love story to the endless sacrifice we give our children while losing and reframing parts of our own identity along the way.
There were so many wonderfully fleshed out relationship dynamics thats its is hard to pick a favorite. They all culminate in a wonderful mash up of what it means to be complicatedly human. This is a book that will make you cry, and make you introspective about the people in your own life.
A definite highlight for my 2026 reading year.
