I recently spent 24 hours in New Glarus, Wisconsin, and wow- what a sweet, charming little town. Probably why it’s on a list of best small towns in the Midwest 😍 New Glarus is a little village tucked amongst the most beautiful rolling hills I’ve ever seen and bursting with Swiss heritage. Imagine quaint streets, local shops and cafes, and views for days- that’s what you get in New Glarus. I was gifted a stay at the Blanc Chalet, which is a newly renovated, family owned motel featuring 25 unique, modern + cozy rooms. The light oak floors, wallpaper, and textures of the room instantly elevated the experience for me, as you know I love an updated motel, and anything that seamlessly blends old with new. I love homes, buildings, motels etc that tell a story. New is nice, but I prefer something that blends character and charm with modern updates. Which is exactly what the mother-daughter team at Blanc Chalet has done. For someone who loves to be in bed by 8pm with blue light blockers on re-watching Heated Rivalry for the 8th time, this was the perfect stay. It was conveniently located and super easy to get to shops, trails, and coffee!
