I know this looks like just another graduation photo, and in some ways it is. But it’s so much more as well.
Truly I’ve never felt as overwhelmed and proud as I was to watch Cailin graduate this week. Because the last three months have been an epic rollercoaster for the family and Cailin has been one super tough cookie. 🍪
This week we get to watch her walking, dancing and laughing for graduation despite a pretty crazy surgery in September and I am so very thankful we’re here.
So to my super brave, strong and beautiful daughter…Congratulations. You’re amazing. 🤩😭🤩
Whoop whoop (drumroll please…) after 12 years of love and dedication (sometimes reluctantly), I’m signing off Cailin’s door. Yeah! That’s it. Last childhood year done. Lots of memories. Lots of Imaginings. Lots of laughs. But we have arrived. So no more for you. Was getting too high anyway. Sad but happy. Keep this somewhere cool forever. That’s a whole lotta love right there. And it’s all yours. 🎨 🥳
(Two more years to go Henley, thanks for not growing between 8 and 9 to keep me on my toes!)
And for Cailin (who’s 12 🤯) a woodland theme complete with edible moss, mushrooms and jelly. And a fox. Because why not. 🦊🍄🌿
Also still not sensing much cake adoration this year, so next year they can have a Woolies special…ungrateful wretches. 🙄😂🖕
Another birthday week. Another love hate relationship with these cakes. Henley hit double digits so we celebrated with a fruity flamingo cake. That bird knocked a few extra years off my life. 🦩🎂🌺
I think this might be my retirement year…I get the impression they’re just not as wowed and grateful as they used to be. 🙄😂🖕
