There is something serendipitous and fitting about painting an #artcourt alongside one of the most renowned and respected art centers in Australia, the Buku-Larrŋgay Mulka Art Centre.
Perfectly, the meaning of Buku-Larrŋgay in Yolŋu matha is ‘the feeling on your face as it’s struck by the first rays of the sun’ and we can honestly say we spent the last ten days rising with the dawn and feeling equal parts grateful and inspired by the opportunity to paint these courts.
This artcourt is without a doubt truly one of a kind in the world for its location; situated in one of the largest and most important aboriginal communities, Yirrkala in East Arnhem Land Northern Territory, and for its design; created in collaboration with @houseofdarwin and the local youth and elders at Yirrkala. The joining hands are a symbol of the strength of community - a coming together and celebration of the power of art and sport.
We feel humbled to have spent this time with our family and theirs, to acknowledge the traditional owners of the land we painted, and pay our respects to their elders past present and emerging.

There’s something incomparable about painting for the Summer Jam. It’s next level crazy, challenging and hectic but so deeply, deeply rewarding.

It’s because this event and the incredible people who run it are family. There is nothing more inspiring and rewarding than the truly wonderful community that the Summer Jam brings together. In all seriousness, reimagining the paddock at the 2026 Australian Grand Prix is EASILY the most ambitious project yet for our tiny little team. That’s over 4 months and 440m of tiles right there!
Behind the scenes a whole lot of blood, sweat and tears has gone into making ‘THAT’ floor. A journey of planning and logistics, shifting and lifting, painting and spraying, trimming and cleaning.
So most importantly we want to thank our amazing crew. This was NOT an easy job. But holy cow we made it happen. What a crazy huge achievement. Super proud.

In 2026 for the first time ever, the infamous paddock at the Australian Grand Prix lost its natural landscape due to the upcoming renovation to extend the pit buildings next year.
Which meant, what used to be a space filled with trees and grass, looked like a bare and barren dirt road (see those before shots!).
So HOW ON EARTH do you transform a space that large into something that:
1. Can be installed and removed quickly and easily? ⚡️
2. Can cop a LOT of weather, traffic, equipment and machinery? 🚦
3. Can be used by all the Formula One teams smoothly and efficiently? 🏎️
4. Is also the perfect fit for the kind of audience that frequents the paddock? 💃
6. Did we mention very well branded?
You guessed it. Artcourts of course.

Kicking off this year with some BIG projects.
This is Manor Lakes North Reserve. It now features not just one but two Artcourts, four standard courts and two HSA cushion courts.
The perfect showcase for the variety of sports surfaces possible and the different levels of design that can be achieved. Artcourts don’t always need to be all or nothing! Sometimes a simple design can perfectly complement and elevate standard colour courts too.
