The Armory Show (@thearmoryshow ) debuts a transformed Platform section for 2025, curated by Raina Lampkins-Fielder (@rainalf1 ). Centered on large-scale works from Souls Grown Deep (@soulsgrowndeepfoundation ), this year’s presentation celebrates Black artists from the American South reclaiming their narratives and creative legacies.
Taking inspiration from traditions of making and gathering, the installation expands into quilts, sculpture, and monumental forms that honor community, memory, and resilience. Together, these works reimagine the fair’s central space as a site of encounter—where craft and scale merge, and where stories long overlooked take their rightful place. Platform is on view at the center of the fair through Sunday.
