Message from Simen:
Evergrey 15 is now officially recorded. This marks the first Evergrey album on which I have had the honor of playing drums. As with fine wine, Evergrey only improves with each passing year and every new release. The artistic “recipe” becomes more refined over time, and for me, this session has been the most rewarding and memorable of my career.
A significant part of this experience has been the opportunity to work with the outstanding @nollyggd . Having followed his career since his first band, Red Seas Fire—which subsequently led me to discover Periphery, a band that has had such an influence on my life that I carry their logo tattooed on my arm—it has been both inspiring and a privilege to collaborate with him. To share ideas, exchange perspectives on music, and contribute to what I consider Evergrey’s strongest album to date has been invaluable.
The collaboration between Tom, Nolly, and myself elevated this album to new artistic heights. I extend my sincere thanks to Nolly, @tom_s_englund , and to Tom from the excellent @thearchrec for creating an unforgettable week that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
I look forward with great anticipation to sharing this work with you all.

What an absolutely gorgeous week I've had at The Arch Studio in Southport recording my piano, Mikey Ciancio's drums and Neil Fairclough's bass with Tony Draper engineering for my forthcoming brand new album of my own songs! 🎶

Hammered out a couple more live sessions over the last couple of days with @vacuousdeath and @plaguepitviolence during their tour with @volcanicbirth@nats.films on 🎥 duties as usual, working at max efficiency to ensure they were done in time to make soundcheck at the next show

Cracking on with mixing the new Spiteful Void record today. A good no nonsense approach to recording this one - vocals tracked in the control room with the music blasting out the speakers, and an unlikely MVP award going to the old Selmer Truvoice which added a bit of clarity to the abominable fizz off the rhythm guitars.
