Had the pleasure of going to @arwayemenicoffee new location in Addison & honestly the visuals speak for themselves. One thing I love about Arwa is not only the sense of community I felt there but everything tastes DELICIOUS. The tea is so well made and there are so many options, i LOVED the tiramisu and their Yemeni latte. Funny thing is I went there a couple of weeks after moving so to be invited was such an honor. FREEDOM — my first tattoo.
I grew up Nigerian in a strict, achievement-driven household. As the firstborn, pressure came from places I didn’t even know to expect. For years it shaped how I saw the world; rigid, narrow, boxed in.
I learned to shrink myself, to fit into expectations that were never meant for me.
Life taught me early that pain doesn’t come once… it comes in waves. But each wave brought me closer to myself. Even in childbirth at the height of pain you’re met with the greatest blessing on the other side.
That’s how growth works.
That’s how we return to who we really are.
My first tattoo doesn’t just say “freedom.” It represents what I’ve been fighting for my entire life. Even getting it was silent act of prying myself free.
Freedom from expectations.
Freedom from projections.
Freedom to create.
Freedom to be me.
The moment I stopped bending myself to fit the mold, I finally understood what true freedom feels like.
When @kayali sent this fragrance, it hit something deep in me — a reminder of that freedom. A reminder of the woman I’ve grown into. A reminder that even in the trials, there is beauty. There is purpose. There is strength.

Black owned businesses deserve all the love @itsbrowngirljane really captured such an amazing gourmand scent. As soon as I got it in PR I was hooked. It’s the perfect blend of chocolate, champagne, plum, sandalwood and it smells delicious. I had to do a cute video for it, of course shot, edited and creative directed by me. I planned this whole shoot almost two weeks ago because I was so excited and finally shot it all today, pretty proud of how it turned out. If you love the outdoors, the smell of grass, nature? Then this scent is for you, I fell in love with this scent because I’m obsessed with the outdoors and it always makes me feel exactly how this video makes me feel. This is a niche fragrance for the select few who can appreciate different notes. I’ve had it for a couple of months but something about the scent notes really reminded me of what summer smells like. This is the perfect layering scent to give you that bright lemon zest that is present in every European summer. Spraying this scent transports you to places you need to be, remember inspiration comes from everywhere but this deserved its own piece of content. Plus I really missed creating perfume content, it’s been some of my favorite to express how the scent notes make me feel. Definitely doing more of these.
