The harsh Berlin winter is taking a toll on all of us, so we cannot blame our resident hostess @raki_solale for leaving the city to enjoy some warmth and sunlight after 4pm – they deserve it!
And of course, Raki has made sure that we will have an amazing guest hostess to guide you through the night and heat up the floor with thrilling performances – we are very happy that @thea.etcetera will join us at the mic for SLIME on January 11th!

I can't believe that I experienced this 3 months ago. Being part of a celebration of travesti and trans community on the main show of Rio's Carnaval.

This song "Quem tem medo de Xica Manicongo" (who is afraid of Xica Manicongo) was dedicated to the first black travesti woman of Brazil history. It resulted from a magical and devastatingly powerful alliance between travesti and trans activists @antra.oficial and the black favela community @paraisodotuiutioficial
Being part of this celebration, I felt like a guest, invited to find inspiration and strength for all the struggles to come. And I feel now a necessity to share this experience.
Travesti activists pave the way for our future! After 30 years or intense political work, to resist against the State-organized massacre of black and indigenous trans people, they managed to take over the biggest show of the world and transform it into a political platform for visibility and empowerment.
