Matriarchy Forever
I was thinking about faraway places where we can find solace and a momentary calm. But then l thought about how we are always carrying our thoughts with us regardless of location.
Then l thought about how all of my female friendships have supported me through difficult times, so l wanted to create a piece that paid homage to those moments in the style of a Sweetheart Pin Cushion.
Matriarchy Forever is a celebration of being in the company of other women and where l feel safe to be myself, breathe freely and feel comforted by their presence.

Love’s Labour’s Lost
What a political crossroads we have reached. I created this one prior to Labour’s win at the last General Election and hope was high. However, it hasn’t been plain sailing. What next? I wonder if our current political landscape will win a BAFTA next year for all the drama.
It’s a precarious time to oust the current PM, but the wolves are snapping at his heels and some of them aren’t a great replacement choice.

In case you didn’t know, May 8 2026 marks the 100th birthday of Sir David Attenborough, who is quite possibly the nicest human being with the loveliest voice on planet Earth.
The wildlife of which, including me, wanted to thank him for his love, kindness and interest in the natural world during his life and career as a wildlife commentator.
His coverage of the plight of Lonesome George will stay with me forever 🐢💔
