Meet Our September Curator in Space: Zainab Isah
We’re proud to welcome @the_sequence_0 as our Curator in Space for the month of September. A self-taught painter from Northern Nigeria, Zainab’s work is deeply rooted in the rhythms of human interaction, environmental influence, and the vibrant tapestry of African traditions.
Her signature style, Psychedelic Art! is a unique technique born from blending five different mediums into one. It channels colour, energy, and emotion to explore the mind and stimulate healing, serving as both visual art and a form of therapy.
Zainab’s breakout solo exhibition, “Conception (the process within birth),” introduced her ability to weave profound narratives into colour-rich worlds. Since then, she has continued to grow through exhibitions, collaborations, and residencies across Africa and beyond.
This month, under the theme “Psychedelic Art Through Mental and Colour Exploration,” Zainab invites us to journey inward where art becomes an emotional map, and colour, a language of healing.
Stay tuned for a month of vivid reflection🤍

Meet our visual artists for Arts and Vibes 2024
Zainab Isa @the_sequence_0 is largely self taught and to a great extent has been inspired by encounters with people and their environment.
She works around Abstract, surrealism, expressionism, colorism and minimalistic art which got her drawn to also practicing therapeutic art.
In the process of practicing art and exploring, she created a new form of technique called. Psychedelic Art. It is an effect of colour waves that penetrates through stimulating the mind, energy and emotional vibrations of human beings by mixing her five mediums into one technique and further merging the act with therapeutic art.

I N T E R M I S S I O N :
- This piece wasn't done alone. I had support from close friends and family. It took me a while to gain myself and the momentum to work on this. A request was made, but the detailing and focus must be absolute.
- The sequence cherish what she creates and the gifted talent she has. But hard work outweighs talent and believing that in every difficult situation, there will come a moment of ease.
- Expressing my deep appreciation to @sorsenfineart and @artorbit_hub for the guidance and support. To those specific beautiful souls who knew about this piece, seen it and also helped me when I needed it. Thank you🌸
