Tracie in Kaduna: Pilgrimage of a Travel Writer Part 2
When I travelled to Leukerbad, Switzerland in 2024, I wrote “Another Black Body”, a homage to Teju Cole and to James Baldwin. My dearest Tracie, made the same pilgrimage a year later and transcended some of the
ideas put forth by all these men.
And that’s the thing with a pilgrimage and with travel. Having made the journey to Leukerbad it was only a required pilgrimage to make it to Kaduna too. For within Leukerbad, my essay departed in and out of Kaduna.
For Spring Break, Tracie and Carl made the journey to Kaduna and blessed our homes with their presence. A completed writer’s pilgrimage!
