We know how important community can be in difficult times. We wanted to let you know that Minnesota Roller Derby will be moving forward with our bout, Skaters of Blood and Bone, on Saturday evening. Safety remains our number one priority in a community gathering: we will have extra support, security, and signage in place to keep our skaters, guests, and fans safe.
With the ongoing threat of terrorism by ICE in the Twin Cities, keep an eye on our pages for any updates.
Since supplemental SNAP benefits have been taken away from Minnesotans in need, we are also holding a food and supplies drive in our lobby on bout night. We encourage everyone to bring nonperishable food items and hygiene items for donation.
With skaters representing all parts of the metro and beyond, MNRD stands with the people of the Twin Cities, and communities across the state and nation.
No one is illegal on stolen land.

The murder of Renee Good, abduction of community members, and sustained acts of violence in Minneapolis, Saint Paul, and the metro area at the hands of ICE agents this week is unacceptable.
No person, organization, or powers that be have the right to instill fear or terrorize our community in the ways we’ve seen in our own backyard. What’s happening in Minneapolis, Portland, and beyond is unacceptable. Minnesota Roller Derby strongly condemns the presence of ICE in our community. We ask you to support those impacted by ICE, stay safe while protesting, and remain informed of what’s going on in your community.
Minnesota Roller Derby remains committed to the values that make us who we are. Nowhere does xenophobia, fascism, or racism fit into that picture. We will protect everyone when they come to our spaces. You belong here.

Minnesota Roller Derby is heading into the 2026 WFTDA Playoffs in Lansing, Michigan with a rebuilt leadership core, a roster stacked with veteran wisdom and rising stars, and one goal in mind: “We want to go to Malmö.”
This week, we’re joined by captains Primm Reaper and Lexi Cuter alongside longtime MNRD veteran Hurtrude Stein for a deep dive into one of roller derby’s most iconic leagues. We also dive into the benefits (and challenges) of the legendary Roy Wilkins Auditorium, their super power “Great Wall of Saint Paul” defense, their “situationship” rivalry with Windy City, Detroit, and Boston, and Minnesota’s philosophy of pursuing joy and derby/life balance while staying fiercely competitive.

We’ve official closed the book on our 22nd season!📚🛼
Over the weekend our All-Stars faced off against the @windycityrollers in two action-packed bouts during our final bout of the season: THE BOUT FAIR!
In the first game of Saturday night, Minnesota Nice took on Windy City’s Second Wind, in a hard-hitting match. In the end, the visitors from Chicago took the W: 160 to 93!
In game two, the Minnesota All-Stars battled it out against the Windy City All-Stars. Strong defense, explosive offense and determined jammers were on display from both teams. Ultimately MNRD was victorious, with a score of 114 to 87!
Finally, on Sunday, skaters from around the Twin Cities, and beyond came together to take on our All-Stars’ B-Team. A fun and challenging scrimmage ending with The World taking the win; 160 to 81!
We’ll be back in the @theroywilkins in the fall when our home team bouts begin for season 23!
