Hey my friends,
It’s been a while ! I take some time during my holidays to talk a bit about a passion project I’m still working on : The Darkest Odyssey.
You, my friends, were a lot to ask me when I’m gonna release it ; Indeed, I initially planned a release on 2021 as you know but too much client works was going on these last two years, it was crazy I didn’t had the time to finish it.
As it makes no sense for me to rush it because I do this short film for me first of all and for pure passion and pure pleasure, the result is : I’m late ahah !
But I’m now closer than ever to achieve it with my friend @aephmusic and you’re gonna get news soon.
Now, let’s talk about the Pathfinder. This character was directly inspired by WW1 designs which I’m passionate about, so I wanted to respect a certain accuracy in some parts of his features when other parts needed to be twisted and reinterpreted to make it consistent with my attempt and vision.
The Darkest Odyssey chronicles a dystopian world where the WW1 never ended so I’m setting up this kind of alternative future.
In this context, building the soldier properly was an exciting time, not ‘building’ him as a 3d model but imagining him as the embodiment of the universe I’m developing.

THROUGH THE STORM
Hey my friends !
It's a very special image I'm glad to share with you today because this one is one my first exploration from SW visuals with my friend @ashthorp ,
and also one of my first try of concepting/painting cinematic images after months of practice, it was something like 3yrs ago now.
My main goal and training was to work with mood/fog/smoke properly.
You can see that this image is just a textbook case for this purpose ahah.
This exploration is part of a small series I'm gonna share.
The idea and compo here is the result of discussions and passion about the Star Wars universe with Ash Thorp.
I remember that quickly after those pieces, we started to make the Far Far Away series of paintings.
