It acts as a tool, expanding my perspective, facilitating a deeper understanding of others and their diverse perceptions of the world. Art, my life’s pursuit, has been a driving force since my earliest memories, serving as both my staunchest adversary and most invaluable ally. It resides within me, enabling me to discover my true self. Through this expressive medium, I articulate my unique viewpoint on the surrounding world. M.H.C. WORLD PREMIER - GROUP-C /// PROTOTYPES /// 021-022 - The wait if finally over! After nearly a year of long days, nights, weekends and every spare moment we could lend to the project we are finally ready to reveal our next two M.H.C. builds. These builds mean so much to us as they are crafted and designed from our desire to learn, grow not only as artists but as people. Today marks the official release of M.H.C. build 021 AKA “THE AX1” and build 22 AKA “THE TRIAD”… can you guess which one is which? - We look forward to going into depth and detail on our design approach, philosophies in the coming weeks. Thank you all for the overwhelmingly positive response!!! It’s a bit surreal as I mentioned in the last post how much this all means to me personally and how important this is. I got a chance to finally watch the film in all of its glory and it delivers!!! My enormous respect goes out to @mattreevesla , @greigfraser_dp , @jchinlund and the entire team for their incredible contribution to the batman franchise. I honestly got a bit emotional when the scenes unfolded…it was so visceral and overwhelming. Truly thankful to be apart of this amazing project. Here are a few front angle renders I did of the last few files before I sent them back to the amazing design/production team working at Warner Brothers. If you look closely you can see some differences between my last design and the final that made it into the film, mainly the two extra ram rod bars that come out over the bumper. For this front bumper concept I liked the idea of having high tension type metal (tungsten/steel) riveted to the front to create a lighter inner structure but extremely hard exterior. A theme I tried to push through on almost the entire project mimicking the inner workings of Bruce himself (the vehicle is him and he is the vehicle thematically). All in all I produced 11 passes on designs until we got to this point. With such an iconic piece of movie history we needed to make sure it was right and make sure it would live up to the legacy of icons that have been produced before. When James first hired me I was a bit nervous being such a fan of Batman myself but once James gave me the brief and told me a little bit about what this version of Batman would be I could see what the Batmoblie design needed almost immediately and got right to work. It was and still is such a visceral experience being apart of all this and I’m just so thankful and humbled by the amazing work that everyone put in on the project. M.H.C. 38 - THE BELLEZZA - This one meant a lot. Taking on a car as iconic as the Countach comes with real weight. Its form, its history, its presence. From the beginning, this wasn’t about trying to outdo it or modernize it for the sake of change. It was about listening closely, studying why it works, and understanding what gives it such lasting emotional gravity. The challenge was intimidating, but the journey of learning, reduction, and discovery was deeply rewarding. I’m a pretty shy person in public, and often when I’m photographing I like to capture moments without anyone knowing I’m there. This felt like a couple on a date. There was an ease between them, a familiarity. You could feel the quiet love they shared just by the way they moved together. I wanted to preserve that moment while obscuring their identities. Enough to feel the connection without revealing too much. Letting the emotion stay, but allowing the details to fall away. The image was originally captured in color, but distilling it down further felt right. Stripping it back added to the beauty and chaos of the moment as the couple begins to merge with the city itself. A brief fragment of time, quietly observed. This piece is about capturing moments of light and letting restraint do the work. Using a single light source and a more noir approach, I wanted to create deep shadows and strong shapes that guide the eye exactly where I want it to go. Letting darkness become as important as what’s revealed. This way of shooting has always felt cinematic to me. Light carving form out of black. This piece explores light and form in their most minimal state. Layers of motion, softness, and abstraction coming together to suggest something rather than define it. Allowing shapes to drift, overlap, and dissolve until what remains is feeling, not form. I’m interested in how restraint can create space for interpretation. How removing detail can sometimes reveal more than adding it. This video is a quiet study in atmosphere. An invitation to slow down and simply observe. This piece is a nod to the abstract and impressionist painters who have inspired me for as long as I can remember. I wanted to explore how that same emotional impact could be created with a camera. Using light like a paint brush. Letting motion, exposure, and timing capture raw photon data instead of literal form. Rather than documenting a scene, this image is about interpreting it. Allowing light to smear, stretch, and layer until it becomes something felt more than seen. This is photography as gesture. A way of painting with time and light. This piece is about using light as the subject itself. Not to describe something, but to shape feeling, motion, and atmosphere. Letting light lead, blur, stretch, and dissolve until it becomes less about what’s being shown and more about what’s being felt. I’ve always been drawn to this way of seeing. Where form is implied, not defined. Where movement leaves traces and time becomes visible. This video is a quiet study of light in motion.
