Just about finished wrapping out as the lead/senior producer on one of the most ambitious shoot I have ever done. 

1x Custom-Built Floating Set 2x Jetskis 8x Vessels (including a 70ft yacht and 40ft speedboat) 28x Cameras 30+ Sharks 4x Multi-Millionaire Talent 9x Talent (Minors) 98x Crew 
6x Unique Live Performances 
Put all that in a blender 3.5 miles from shore in unpredictable open ocean then roll sound and camera. Sound impossible? 

Well it should have been. However, our tiny Austin team (@julietrobb , @sophiegifford21 , @drakehoward_atx , @jaavellan , and someone I’m told is named Zia @zia_____________ ) partnered with some ABSOLUTE LEGENDS in Oahu, Hawaii to make it happen. We all rolled with the punches and I can’t thank everyone enough for pulling together and making this project happen. Especially when that ‘assertive’ 16.5ft tiger shark, #sharkidkalihi , showed up.

- Ocean @oceanramsey and Juan @juansharks and your whole team and vessels from One Ocean Diving @oneoceandiving for being our Shark Safety Team and providing your whole fleet for us. You captured some truly breathtaking footage underwater and kept us on our toes above water.

I have a new respect and appreciation for sharks and also what’s achievable in our industry. I can’t wait to show you all what we did out there!

After Party - Pt 2 I knew I wanted to capture how fun this afterparty was going to be. So I bought several rolls of film for my mju-i and mju-ii, handed out 16 disposable cameras, begged @stbelac to shoot as much as he could, and hoped for the best! I love how these came out. Thanks Caleb!

After Party - Pt 1 I was unable to attend the 2023 News and Documentary Emmy® Awards. This is okay in my book because instead of going to any Hollywood after parties and then bringing the awards to In N Out (which is very much a thing, Google it). Instead, I did it Texas-style. I rented a retired tour bus, forced 30 of my friends to dress up in Western wear, and made them party with me all day and night at several different honky tonks. Afterward, I had the bus drop us off to die at a Whataburger. Well... I won an Emmy® In 2020 I was a field producer on a documentary for HBO. I was one of many producers who worked on this film, each of us spread throughout the world with their respective crew. This was right in the heat of covid and was the first shoot where the camera feed was patched into Zoom so people across the country could give notes. Little did I know that was going to become the way of life for quite some time. Even though it was slightly terrifying to work during this time, I feel very fortunate to have been a part of something so well-received. We actually won in 2023, but I didn't receive my statute until May of this year (buy me a drink and I'll tell you a funny story about that). I didn't want to announce the win until I had it in my hand, that's when it felt real. Huge thank you to The University of Texas (@utaustintx )for being so gracious to us during the lockdown and all the other folks who helped tell this story.
