Speak with grace and lead with love: You don’t get a second chance to make a first impression. Be of the people and not of the world, discernment is for safety not for decoration. Guard your heart, but don’t entomb it. Some walls defend you, others quietly block what’s meant to reach you.
Remain a student of the process: Mastery is not a destination but a devotion. Honour the unseen hours, the days when nothing appears to move are the moments where subtle shifts happen. Consistency will always outpace intensity when the road is long.
Let integrity be your currency: Trends will pass yet truth sustains. Create from necessity, not noise. Honest work carries its own signature, It’s felt before it’s understood.
Community sharpens the vision: Solitude clarifies it. Know when to listen, when to lead, and when to step back so the collective can rise.
Remember: Alignment is acceleration. When purpose and practice move as one, resistance softens. Trust the timing. What is meant for you cannot miss you and what misses you was never yours to carry.

The start of the year was truly amazing working with some fantastic artists, creatives and organisations to host this years Mobo awards, the prestigious celebration of black culture on our doorstep, go check the steel city allstars riddim📍
Through that process I was introduced to Toddla T the GITA god who embraced my artistry, vision and love for community. Thank you for your governance and relentless passion for the culture #steezefactory It’s been such a pleasure working alongside you and the team for such a multi faceted and inspiring GITA rollout, shout out to the GITA squad and all the artists who voiced/ blessed da riddim you know who you are 💚🛡️ #BDT
The next phase of the journey was travelling to Jamaica, Berlin and Athens for a total of 8 weeks to conduct my Churchill fellowship research with my bredda Joffski, My research explores how music has a transformative way of shaping our communities and the nuances that arise with social impact. We met some incredible organisations, great minds, artists, creatives and professionals on our travels and we are set to release the documentary “MoveDem” in 2025 & can’t wait to share it with you all so please stay locked … special thanks to Joffski. Returning to the uk was a culture shock but I was filled with more purpose and direction for slambarz and there was no better way then to host our own stage at tramlines for the 1st year booking 54 artists over the weekend. Thank you to tramlines for giving us the platform to showcase the talent across our city 🧡
We end the year with slambarz reloaded for off the shelf festival of words for a 2nd year running at our home The Leadmill. I have nothing but love for the team who have always shown so much support for our gigs, community & artists, so save your bullish!t remarks about the venue, staff and team because you know nothing 🤐

Toddla T blessed us with his presence, creative insight and deep love for the landscape he’s helped shape for over two decades in his hometown THE STEEL CITY 📍
Toddla’s relentless pursuit of excellence as an international DJ, radio host and musician saw him rise through both cultural and corporate spaces, only to realise that the establishment wasn’t always what it first appeared to be.
