From unreleased prototypes to freshly launched titles, this is what happens when players, creators, strategy, trash talk, and hype collide in one room. âĄ
Welcome to The Play Lab Meetup, where games are tested, discovered, and experienced before they blow up.
Which game are you trying first?
âThe game ended. The discussion didnât.â
This is the first episode of
The Play Lab : Discussions
These conversations that happen once the turns are over, where players sit back and unpack what they just experienced at a table of âPoachers v/s Rangersâ.
Some of these discussions might feel oddly specific if you havenât played the game yet⌠but thatâs exactly what makes them special. Every table develops its own stories, strategies, and moments of chaos.
Captured during the very first Play Lab Meetup with @punejunction_ at @cafe_rova , where games were played, questioned, debated, and reimagined across the table.
Maybe the next discussion starts with you at the table.

This one felt special, watching mothers and their children not just play together, but pause to reflect, exchange ideas, and speak about what âHustle Campâ made them feel. On this Motherâs Day, this felt worth sharing exactly as it happened.
Thank you to @punejunction_ and @cafe_rova for creating a space warm enough for moments at the Play Lab Meetup like these to unfold naturally across the table.
Sometimes, the best part of a game is the conversation that follows.

The Playtest Journal: Session 11
(07-Mar-2026)
.
.
There are sessions where you test a gameâŚ
and then there are sessions where something larger begins.
This wasnât just another playtest session.
This was the first edition of âThe Play Lab Meetupâ, in collaboration with @punejunction_ , a small step towards building a space where ideas donât just stay ideas.
Two original games, âHustle Campâ and âPoachers v/s Rangersâ, met fresh perspectives. This did include our youngest playtesters, who were not only present and enjoying, but actually learning about real life and career journey.
And thatâs where the magic really happened. Not just in how the games were played, but in how they were questioned, discussed, and reimagined.
Somewhere between turns and conversations, games by @triceria_games , @zambaara , @gamebaeindia , @kheogames , found their way onto the tables too, adding a different kind of energy to the room.
And through it all, the team at @cafe_rova made sure the tables stayed just as full as the conversations.
It felt less like an eventâŚ
and more like a beginning.
Of a space.
Of a rhythm.
Of a community thatâs slowly finding its place.
Maybe the next table is yours.

The Playtest Journal: Session 10
(08-Feb-2026)
.
.
Some sessions are planned, Some are invited.
.
.
This one came from @SocialShufflePune that hosted Session 08. After the last playtest, something stayed with them. The idea of having separate tables for testing, the energy it brought, the way people engaged with the experience, it felt worth doing again. And this time, they carried it forward.
The setting was different. A new part of the city, a new crowd, a step toward expanding their own community. For me, it felt like an opportunity to see how the game holds up beyond familiar spaces.
This version of âHustle Campâ was new, even to the hosts. As I began setting up, there was a playful curiosity around the table.
âWe want to play this one.â
It became a running joke through the evening.
But the single playtest table we had stayed full. The players who joined brought their own kind of energy; curious, engaged, and present. The kind of players who may not always articulate feedback in words, but show it through how they play. And sometimes, that says enough.
There wasnât much direct feedback this time. And strangely, felt like a signal. A quiet indication that the game is getting closer to where it needs to be.
There are still things to rethink. The dice, for one. On a smaller table, it felt limiting. And over time, thereâs been a recurring thought, maybe the decisions should come more from the player than from the roll. Itâs something Iâm still sitting with.
Session 10 marked something else too, a small milestone. Not in scale, but in continuity. In being invited back. In seeing something repeat, not because it was planned, but because it was wanted.
And somewhere between tables that evening, as my attention drifted across the room, a small spark of a new idea began to take shape...More on that soon.
Play. Test. Repeat.
