introducing to this Friday night 1st of May, which will be the last and final installment of Space Jams for a wee while at @solace.bar . Opening downstairs is the new duo of — E.E.G. & H.A.M. A two-piece that merges cheeky electro with chuggy techno and detailed jungle and dub — equal parts precision, tight, while unpredictably loose. On one side — 12+ years producing, 10 years running labels, the index (E.E.G.) harnesses a practice shaped by resistance to ego and devotion to craft. Releases threaded through Connection Verified, Bomphcast Audio, Liquid One/Groovebox, Schimmer, ESP Collective, W133, Oscillator One and THE INDEX. Delicate delivery, hyper detail, heavy energy, E.E.G is one of the quietest forces shaping the edges of the country’s techno landscape. On the other — a selector focused on longform storytelling and dancefloors that reward anti-seriousness, not swank. H.A.M. is curator of deep, percussive, off-centre sounds — more about the drift than the drop. And now for our downstairs selectors this Friday at the next edition of our label night series: @disgrays_on & the c|b DJ team (@the.index_admin + @dj_glug ). Disgrays featured on our second record - CBRK002, with a thumping track that outlines her dark but delicate sound, and it’ll be wonderful seeing what she can do in a different setting by the bar. Supporting her are two of the three founders of the label, ADMINISTRATOR + DJ Glug, bringing the label’s sound down to the downstairs booth. Some lovely feedback on ADMINISTRATOR’s new EP: fly_sparks_fly (W133D012). Out now on @w133.records

ADMINISTRATOR is back on the label with his new EP “fly_sparks_fly“. The Australian producer is a long-time collaborator of Pino Peña and a close friend of the label. It is beautiful to witness the global connection between musicians from Europe and Australia and the connection that comes with it. Also beautiful is his first tune on the release, „hi!sparks“, a dubby house / techno hybrid. It starts with powerful dub chords and turns into a weird stomper. The second tune is called „salvationsave.txt“, a super lush melodic minimal tune. Typically for ADMINISTRATOR’s sound, it develops into something more freaky, yet stays super light. Up next we have „godlessness-ness“. Building up slowly, the tune lives from playful melodies and mesmerizing pads and arpeggios which switch between threatening and heartwarming. The last original is called „howlate|isnever“, which starts with simple, straightforward drums, mysterious synths, and a spooky, short and sweet bassline. For the last tune of the EP, recurrent label artist Timo Rinker teams up with Pino Peña for a technoid version of „hi!sparks“. Energizing drums and a special dryness give this track a running groove.
