You know when a brand has that one iconic item? @maisonmargiela Tabis, a @levis 501, or closer to home, we got the @re.ude tanks, or @peggyhartanto ‘s leather bags — yes, we’re talking about hero products. The term “Hero Product” might seem like a term that’s been thrown around a lot, especially when it comes to talking about the business of #retail. With the constantly fluctuating economy and rapid shifts in #trends and consumer demands, it’s always a good idea to have a safety net for you to fall back on. Essentially, a hero product helps provide credibility to consumers and is a safe entry point, too. But it’s not enough to just have an interesting design, a #brand’s values and function need to back it up too! Not to mention the different contexts and audiences both the product and brand can resonate with. Read on as we break down the meaning and examples of various hero products, and for a full version of this post, check out the full article at thecorator.co.

She’s been the inspiration to fashion students and fashion creatives around the world, and now she’s landed in Asia for the first time. We were incredibly honored to attend the premiere of “Iris Van Herpen: Sculpting The Senses” in @artsciencemuseumsg last weekend, and here’s a look inside the exhibition. “From micro to macro, this exhibition interrogates the body in space, our identities and potential futures in a rapidly changing world. Celebrating van Herpen’s future-facing and multidisciplinary approach, this unique retrospective exhibition incorporates nine themes that combine fashion with art, design, sustainability and science.”

Last weekend, we had the chance to pay a visit to @maisonvalentino ’s takeover of The Arts House in Singapore, where they presented “The Rockstud Salon.” The installation introduces the new iterations of the #Valentino’s iconic Rockstuds, through the house’s new creative director @alessandromichele ’s vision. Not just new Rockstuds, the experience also highlights the brand’s latest icon, the Panthea bag. In celebration of the launch, the brand invites VICs, fashion connosieurs, and media from the region to get the first look at this upcoming release, set to hit stores in Southeast Asia this June and July. To keep the party going, longtime friend of Valentino, K-pop idol #Hwasa (@_mariahwasa ) surprised guests with a set of her fan-favorite hits, before dancing the night away as Thai DJ @djp_u keeps the tunes spinning. #Rockstud #ValentinoPreFall2026 #PantheaBag @time.international

Some things are just better up close, and that’s the case for our favorite #MetGala looks of tonight. From #AshiStudio’s hand-painted bodices, #Schiaparelli gowns that undress themselves, #Dior using actual film rolls from movies, to #AnokYai’s human-sculpture makeup, there are plenty of things that you need to see in detail. Speaking of, who’s your Met Gala winner of this year?

The first Monday of May is quickly approaching, and as lovers of fashion, we can’t help but fantasize a little. This time, we’re imagining which Indonesian designers would craft head-turning, memorable looks in the #MetGala. With this year’s theme being “Fashion is Art”, designers are encouraged to create art pieces based on their muse’s body as their blank canvas. All the while, exploring the relationship between #art and #fashion and how such concepts can be interpreted onto a human form. To us, these designers create distinct, identifiable art styles of their own, or draw on the rich heritage and tradition of Indonesian art, or both! And we can definitely see them wow the crowd once their pieces are worn whilst climbing up the museum’s stairs, once they’re given the opportunity to do so. What do you think, which #designer would you love to see make a MET Gala debut?

There are some creatives whose works you can spot at a glance, even from miles away, and #JamesJean is one of those artists. Starting his career as a comic book cover illustrator, @jamesjeanart is best known for his fluidly enchanting #art style that can’t help but captivate its viewers’ emotions. As his career continued to expand, Jean has collaborated with a diverse range of names from different industries, including A24, Guillermo Del Toro, BTS, Johnnie Walker, Prada, The New York Times and more! This month, the artist has arrived in Jakarta for a solo exhibition at @baikartgallery titled “Sincila.” Not just that, but Jean is also releasing a collaboration with the legendary @biyanofficial and giving a talk for his fans and collectors at @museummacan . We had the chance to sit down and have a conversation with the artist after his talk, where we got to ask him everything we’ve been curious about regarding his career, his artistry, his perspective on work and to hear more stories about some of his remarkable collaborations. Read more from our conversation with the artist himself in TheCorator.co

A homecoming to their origins, @chanelofficial returns to the city of Biarritz for their Cruise 2026/27 show, also marking the debut Cruise collection by Matthieu Blazy. In this occasion, the house invites their lineup of star-studded friends like #ASAPRocky, #NicoleKidman, Nana Komatsu, and Tilda Swinton to watch, while ambassador @bhavithamandava graces the runway. The city was, in fact the first location where #Chanel opened their couture house and presented their first collection in, finding inspiration from the city’s collision with nature while still oozing modernity. In Blazy’s eyes, “It is a place that offers the perfect balance between function and fiction. Among artists, workers, nobility, sailors and the natural world, everyone and everything shared the same stage, living together as a norm. All had a role to play.” For his Cruise debut, Blazy seeks inspiration from two different ends. Adoring the real comfort and ease of functional French workwear through the silk ensembles, raffia skirts, and washed cotton canvas suiting. While also indulging in the nautical fantasies of the ocean, sailors, and mermaids through the fish-scale pailettes, motifs resembling corals, and a more playful color palette. In the accessories front, he reinforces the idea of a journey while pertaining the spirit of wander, mixing practicality with playfulness. Waterproof flap bags with striped motifs, Art-Deco-inspired mid-length heels, and jewelry that feels somewhat beachy yet chic enough to wear for a busy day. It’s always fascinating to see how new voices reinterpret a historical sentiment, and this was definitely one for the books. @matthieu_blazy ‘s #CHANELCruise debut shows how the director is able to create pieces that invites viewers to dream and fantasize while still remaining relevant and wearable in current context.
