UNDER THE BRIDGE, ABOVE SURVIVAL. The city is layered. Above, life moves with urgency; cars, people, purpose. Below, another world exists, slower, often unseen. This is not just a story about people living under a bridge, it is a story about survival, adaptation, and the systems that form when life is pushed to the margins. Here, nothing is wasted. Today is my birthday, and I still don’t have it together. The weight of disappointment is constant, even though the people i think i’ve let down haven’t said a word. It’s a strange paradox. On paper, I’ve done things I never thought I would by God’s grace and mercy. I’ve worked with the biggest people in my industry, making genuine connections and helping people in my little way. But none of those metrics have managed to silence the feeling that I’m somehow behind until I heard this question that stopped me in my tracks. “What was Jesus doing at 25?” No answer. Okay “What was he doing at 28?” I had no words, I simply didn’t know. And then I realized, If the saviour of the world didn’t attach a deadline to his destiny, or an age to his assignment, why am I? Jesus spent his time as a diligent carpenter. He wasn’t chasing a deadline but honoring a season of preparation for a time sent before him by the father, not by a cultural or self imposed benchmark. And that’s my problem, I’ve been so busy feeling behind that I forgot to look to the one who orchestrates the hands of time. I know there’s a season for everything, and i’ll have to admit that I haven’t always given my best but in the midst of everything, I’m still going to show up. So here’s to my Birthday. I don’t have everything figured out but by God’s grace, I’m going to stop at nothing to finish what i’ve started. Selah! Cap @settlrs.crown.ng
