I usually don't care about shooting live music in color because the venues I go either don't have enough available light to handle the lower sensitivity of color films, or the light set ups are not that interesting. Usually it's both.
But sometimes I do have color loaded in my camera - for some reasons - and the stars align : there's enough light. I'm still surprised by what Kodak 200T can handle and I see why these cinema films are praised by photographers. I haven't seen the negs yet, but the scans are clean - for a 35mm neg.
Just shooting at 200 iso is a huge stretch from the (black and white films pushed to) 3200 iso I usually shoot with!
Too bad photo labs aren't always reliable with the #ecn2 process. I won't shame the wellknown parisian lab who ruined most of the #kodak500t I also sent them, but so far it's on par with the rest of the films I've asked to be developed in that chimistry : 50% were ok, the rest have more or less serious development issues 🤦

I guess there's a first for everything. There are people who convert color shots into B&W and people that involuntary get a “similar" result by loading in their camera a roll B&W film (#kodaktmax400) instead of a color one (#kodakportra400). Because, beside their stock names written on the yellow plastic cover, they are identical from the outside ! Thanks Kodak 🙃
So, guess what was my team when I took some pictures of @kino__motel at La Malterie some weeks ago on a lovely sunny evening?
Anyway, the pictures turned out fine. And it was so great to meet and see them playing live Visions, their first LP. Definitely worths a listen.
