Silicon Sublime Installation for Sint-Catharinakerk during DDW25. Magnified microchip circuits reveal geometries that echo ancient motifs, ornamental patterns, and sacred architectures, exposing aspects of computation usually hidden from perception and reimagining them as symbolic, crafted languages. Within Sint-Catharinakerk, the installation invites a dialogue between past and present, the visible and the encrypted, offering a contemplative view on modern computation that embraces the mystery within its principles. ▪️Fasten Ad Interim ▪️ is the result from an invitation by the Dordrecht’s Museum to revisit its archive. The project explores the links between Art, Religion and Technology, examining how these relations were understood in different historical periods. The piece reflects on the times when artists were also virtuous technicians and religious constructions served as tools for socio-political experimentation. A selection of objects from the Museum’s archeological depot are organized and displayed on two detachable metal structures, built and designed with a tube-clamping system. Chosen to represent the beliefs and technical advancement of different epochs, the objects propose to approach the history of technological development from a more holistic perspective, as always intertwined with religious and artistic pursuits. An altarpiece built for a world in which specific types of digital and electronic technologies are considered the epitome of progress, set up from discarded devices such as old mobile phones, tablets and speakers, deconstructed and re-connected together in geometric patterns. Halfway between apparatuses and cult objects, they function by displaying digital media such as image feeds or search histories reworked as well into patterns of light, colour and vibration flows.Contemplating everyday life technologies as representations of our networked system of beliefs, the altarpiece offers as well a narrative of the contemporary technological order as a transitory trance experience while depicting religion or faith as technological devices themselves. @betweentrips@designacademyeindhoven GS22 / @dutchdesignweek

* The world is an untamed horse and your bones collapsing stars * Co-Star wisdom and tech iconography for my installation at @habitacionnumero on view during July 30th - August 17th. ******** Presented on its website as a "hyper-personalized and social astrological experience" powered by “AI that merges NASA data with the insight of human astrologers”, the Co-Star application represents to me an epitome of the epistemological revolution in which we are living, increasingly aware of the interconnectedness between technological progress and spiritual knowledge. Can high-tech systems and engineering become tools for the development of a neo-mystic practice?
