IANITORES TERRESTRES BY LÉA PORRÉ For this immersive installation, Léa Porré transforms Patara Gallery into a portal to another dimension. The entire room is overtaken with digital prints on the walls and a series of small wooden doors disseminated across the walls, enhancing the transformative nature of the space. On the floor, the landscape is completed with the oxidised sculptures rescued from the city’s debris, creating depth and an otherworldly quality to the room. Porré’s show reimagines the gallery space as ritualistic, symbolising profound change and serving as a rite of passage by employing the figure of the door. This blending of digital and physical realms enhances the immersive nature of the exhibition, inviting viewers to embark on a journey through what remains and what awaits for us - through time. 🎠

"...The name 𝕴𝖆𝖓𝖎𝖙𝖔𝖗𝖊𝖘 𝖙𝖊𝖗𝖗𝖊𝖘𝖙𝖗𝖊𝖘 references three door-related deities: Forculus, Limentinus, and Cardea, known by this name. In contraposition with Janus, a divine door keeper, these lesser-known deities, emphasise the significance of controlling liminal spaces—thresholds between different realms of existence [1] that surround us and are not necessarily divine. Thus, the physical spaces that divide us in a literal way - hinges, doors, urban planning (cardo) - and what they hide on the other side. By incorporating wooden sculptural doors, Porré underscores the importance of these thresholds into both our mundane and ritualised life...." Léa Porré's solo exhibition curated by Lava Art Project. Work in progress of @leaporre ’s exhibition ‘Ianitores terrestres’ opening the 6th September at @pataragallery in Tbilisi🗝️🌋 Here you can take a look at some of the exhibition’s laser cut wood pieces, from the final result after painting and varnishing to the first step. The name ‘Ianitores terrestres’ references three door-related deities: Forculus, Limentinus, and Cardea, known by this name. In contraposition with Janus, a divine door keeper, these lesser-known deities, emphasise the significance of controlling liminal spaces—thresholds between different realms of existence that surround us and are not necessarily divine. Thus, the physical spaces that divide us in a literal way - hinges, doors, urban planning (cardo) - and what they hide on the other side. The installation incorporates, among other pieces, these wooden sculptural doors, Porré underscores the importance of these thresholds into both our mundane and ritualised life🚪🔓

‘Deprisa, deprisa’ is a solo show by @carolinalindberg1 hosted by @kupferproject during Frieze week from 6th October to 14th October. ❗️Tomorrow we welcome you to our finissage and late opening from 06:00-09:00 pm.❗️ 🎶We will provide some drinks 🍹 A bit more about Carolina’s world: In Carolina’s playful work we encounter her own personal narrative of kairos. Throughout the exhibition, she manages to aesthetically externalise an eventful point of transcendence in which she ponders chronological time with the intersubjective experience of becoming what one no longer is: “To put it provocatively, we are not only the past that we (can) remember (as the historicists have always argued), but we are also the past that we can forget.” In this sense, the work of Carolina merges past, present and future through this reflective act of consciousness that kairos is.

Step into @carolinalindberg1 world, where time dances, distorts and redefines itself ⏱️

Carolina’s first solo show in the UK consists of new ceramics, installations and textile works that hover in the space between the surreal and the rational, between the dreamlike and the graphicality. A new body of work that plays with our collective consciousness and with our own personal experience of time.

Visit us at @kupfer.co from M-F 10-6 pm, Sat. 11-5 pm and for this Friday’s finissage 6-9 pm ✨ DM us directly for sales enquiries. • • • • • #friezelondon #frieze2023 #londonartshow #londongallery #spanishartist #ceramicart #textileart #patchwork #graphicdesigns #urbanarts #artexhibit #artcurator #soloshow #emergingart #youngart #eastlondongalleries

Open now 💥 Visit us at @kupferproject 3 Scrutton Street to see the latest exhibition by Spanish multidisciplinary artist @carolinalindberg1 😈 “Deprisa, Deprisa” unveils the artist personal narrative of kairos, a reflective exploration of the past, present, and future. Time, in this sense, is posed as a personal experience, measured through sublime instants that define who we are and who we are no longer. As she ingeniously reminds us, we are not merely defined by the past we remember, but also by the past we forget. Time is not only measurable, analogical, but distorted and remembered.
