The older I get, the more comfortable I am admitting that I have a lot to learn. These three have shaped my spirit, deepened my understanding of love, and taught me more about grace, responsibility, and humanity than anything else in my life. The assignment is real, and I am grateful. There is significant purpose here. Happy Mother's Day !!

National Black Arts + Neiman Marcus always delivers. Fashion, philanthropy, and a good excuse to get dressed and get out. Big shout out to @nbaf for a great event and special mention to friends and board members @lisabonner (chair), @msbblades , @prestowill for your dedication to community and fashion and @neimanmarcus . Great night! Hair by Kindra at @sheareden (she's the best) Dress: @ladoublej Shoes: @giaborghini

70 years lived with intention. 70 years of shaping rooms, stories, and people. Time has not diminished you one bit. It has revealed you. I am happy to know and love you. Happy Birthday @iamkennyleon !!

This was the exact prompt: Create a caricature of me and my job based on everything you know about me. It’s interesting to see a visual interpretation of my work. While the styling isn’t entirely me, the connection between relationships, culture, impact, and capital feels true to how I show up.

20 years married today! I know a lot of women and men are opting out of marriage, and I understand why. The culture makes it look like marriage is either a dream or a loss. The truth is it’s neither. It’s a covenant. It will expose you, stretch you, humble you, and if you let it, it will also strengthen you beyond anything you've imagined. We’ve had 20 years of figuring it out, 19 years of parenthood, and far too many risks, wins, and lessons to count. We’ve reinvented ourselves individually and together, and we’ve kept God first. This year, we’re celebrating at our favorite spot, doing all of our favorite things. I feel blessed beyond measure and I am so grateful. Being Mrs. Chaney is pretty damn awesome. Happy 20th anniversary, my love. You're still the one!

2025 was about moving with intention. I stayed close to community, mobilized resources, and kept showing up where policy, people, and culture intersect, because that’s where real change is felt. Biggest heart moment was watching my oldest become part of the @westminsteralumninetwork and sending her to @uscedu to be a Trojan. To my friends and family, thank you for the ride, for the laughter, the support, the love, and the way you held me up and called me higher. What’s next? more love to make, more friendships to deepen, more tables to build, more travel, and even more impact to put into motion. 2026 let's go!!

NYC gave me a new word to keep: Shibumi. Quiet beauty. Understated elegance. No extra, just presence. @galerie.shibumi embodies it, and I’m proud to say the owner is family. Watching her build what she loves is inspiring. Also squeezed in dinner with Amir, one of my daughter’s closest friends and a first-year at @columbia . Brilliant mind, even better conversation. As I look around, I'm convinced that we are going to be alright. Thanks for the reminder, @folanadionemiller and Amir!! If you’re in NYC, go visit @galerie.shibumi person and tell me what piece speaks to you. @galerie.shibumi 261 W 35th Street, 14th Floor (between 7th and 8th, closer to 8th Ave)

One of my favorite things is sharing nights like this with people I love. @msbblades thank you for always showing up, even last minute. We caught The World of Tomorrow and it was outstanding. Shout out to Kenny Leon and the entire cast and crew for such a beautiful night, and to Tom Hanks for being brilliant onstage and so gracious after. He is just as kind as people say and thanks for the selfie Tom!
