Extra toes and extra sweet! Four-month-old Chili Pepper is a polydactyl kitten, with six toes on each paw, and I’m extra smitten. Currently being treated for ringworm (a common and curable fungal infection), he’s available as part of the Foster to Adopt program at Operation Kindness Humane Society. If you have room in your life for an unusually cute, highly affectionate little big foot, Chili Pepper is your boy! #extratoes #operationkindness #adoptdontshop
Happiness at Gap's return to NorthPark (previous post) dimmed by sadness at closing of Kuai Asian Kitchen near Galleria. A "small brown Thai add veggies" was my near daily lunch order at the original Kuai downtown when I worked at NM, then a favorite takeout dinner from the Tollway @ Alpha location on the way home from volunteer shifts at Operation Kindness. Anybody know a good parking spot downtown? @kuaiasiankitchen
So great to see Gap back at NorthPark with a new location (second floor between NM and Nordstrom) and completely fresh store redesign that's all light woods and modular cabinetry. Bonus: Roomy dressing rooms with sturdy rails and rods for hanging try-ons instead of those flimsy pegs that can barely hold themselves up much less a sweater or pair of jeans. Bought some things too!
Who needs a cardboard box when you have a shopping bag, a drawer, a bread basket, a plastic-wrapped tp package, more drawers, or (proof the predilection started early) a spiky ceramic vessel? Not Suri! #cats_of_instagram
High summer in Wyoming means brilliant skies, bison and tourist traffic jams, a profusion of wildflowers, Farmers Market bounty, history-rich treks with the Dubois Museum, and this year, so many hummingbirds at times it bordered on Hitchcockian. Sad to say farewell to an especially awesome July, but looking forward to August and the first hints of fall...
Been envisioning a gallery on this wall since we moved in three years ago. Finally got it done! The #genekloss etching, ‘70s era Tavlos, and Dorothy Brett buffalo all came from my parents. The @rcgorman plate was the first piece of art Van ever bought, probably 1976, and the most recent are @romeroartprojects “Pueb Fiction” and the @lisalawphoto Dylan portrait, bought from Lisa’s daughter Pilar at her @editiononegallery on Canyon Road the day after we saw A Complete Unknown. The Alexander Girard wire lion was a @dolly_python find. And thanks to the inimitable @shishkebobby for the awesome #hotelsancristobal trip and poster. Every single element is a memory and a smile
