Thanks to the new scanner and photoshop this photo has been revived. My first trip to Santa Fe, January 1976. I moved to Dallas about a week after this was taken.
I bought this buckle on eBay because of the V. The internet tells me it is the historic Quarter Circle V Bar brand of the Orme Ranch in Arizona. Bought in 1929 by Charles and Minna Vrang Orme it is still a working ranch and also the site of the Orme School that just closed this year
