I made the record over three years, chipping away one song at a time between my bedroom and my friend Miles Devine’s home studio @mindfieldstudios a few suburbs over ⭐️
I love thinking on this idea of time being past, future and present. The experience of driving in a car always strikes me as a beautiful illustration of this. This perpetual act of arriving but then also playing catch up. There’s this trust required sitting underneath it all; in the car carrying you, the other drivers, and then yourself ~ if you spend too much thinking about it all you’ll crash. I think it’s much the same as dealing with each day. I hope these songs can provide a space for you to reflect, whether it be behind the wheel or in a static enviro ! Tom x
