Produced to mark the 10th anniversary of Utile Works Studio, this collaborative collection with tattooist C90s examines the role of transgressive symbols across time.
The works draw from the Roman flying phallic talisman—a protective amulet historically associated with luck and warding. Dislocated from its original cultural framework, the symbol is recontextualised through the idioms of punk culture, where provocation functions as resistance and ornament becomes declaration. • Zipper Necklace — RRP 450 MYR. Constructed with a YKK EXCELLA zipper and Japan-made YKK eyelets. • Studded Belt — RRP 1,670 MYR. Cut from Italian vegetable-tanned leather, fitted with a stainless-steel buckle; studs are solid brass, nickel-plated and set with crystal stones.
Influences from amekaji—Japanese interpretations of American utilitarian dress—inform the belt’s structure and proportion.

WHY CHOOSE BETTER ZIPPER?
The 3PIECE slider from the M6 in the video also work better for post production assembly to prevent causing any damage on both either the textile or the zipper.
