A huge congratulations to Claire Fahey (@claire_vigrass1 ), who has become the Ladies World Rackets singles champion, defeating Cesca Sweet four games to love at @thequeensclub on Sunday, 10 May. 👏🎉🏆
Claire is now the Ladies World Singles champion in both Real Tennis and Rackets, an accomplishment only achieved concurrently once before in history by the legendary Peter Latham, who held both titles in the Men's games in 1895.
T&RA President William Maltby presented the prizes in front of a packed gallery on a historic day for both Rackets and Real Tennis.

🏆 THIS WEEKEND, HISTORY WILL BE MADE! 🏆
The recent retirement of longtime Ladies Rackets World Singles champion Lea Van Der Zwalmen leaves room for a new player to take the crown, and one will do so this weekend. 👑
The T&RA is proud to announce that the Ladies Rackets World Singles Challenge will be taking place at @thequeensclub on Sunday, 10 May, at 11am.
In a Best of 7 Games format, two of the sport’s most accomplished players – Cesca Sweet @cescasweet_ and Claire Fahey @claire_vigrass1 – will be facing off to take the title Lea Van Der Zwalmen has held for nearly a decade.
Spectators are encouraged to come to Queen’s to watch the match, but if you’re unable to lend your support in person, please do so by watching the live stream via T&RA's official YouTube channel. 🎬
In the meantime, be sure to check out our bio for links to exclusive interviews with Cesca and Claire about how they've been preparing for the upcoming match, what fans can expect from their on-court battle, and how they feel about Lea's retirement, which leaves the World Champion title open for a new woman to claim for the first time since the Ladies Challenge began. 💪

Get to know the T&RA’s new CEO, Nick Orr, via an exclusive interview in which he discusses his plans for the Association and more. 🎯
"I don't want to come in like a bull in a china shop thinking I can change the world. The most important thing for me to start with is to understand the organisation and understand the role, and it is quite complex in many ways because of the breadth of responsibility that lies within the position,” Orr says. “It's quite intimidating taking over from someone who has been in the role for 16 years because his knowledge and experience are almost limitless, and my start point is very low. But he's doing what he can to download his knowledge and experience and set me up for success, which is great.”

📷 We’re sharing more photos from the epic @brown_advisory British Open Doubles Championship that took place on Monday evening at @thequeensclub , courtesy of photographer @busteredwards . 👏
Tom Billings (@thbillings ) and Mike Bailey (1) set off at a blistering pace against Alex Duncliffe-Vines (@alejodv180 ) and James Rossiter (@james_rossy ) (3), with Tom covering every inch of the court and Mike making seamless (and winning) interceptions. After an hour, Tom and Mike were three games up for the loss of just nine points, an incredible 15/4 15/1 15/4 triplet of games. But, as the fourth game started, a medical emergency brought the match to a halt, with the marvellous Alys Bird (Queen’s Club) taking charge of the situation.
45 minutes later a different match emerged, with Alex and James capitalising with a series of strong hands. At 14/6 it seemed they were back in the match but then Tom levelled to 14-all, three points from victory. Another swing saw Alex and James take the vital set to love to trail one game to three….
