BΛSΞM is a Halifax-based DJ originally from Yemen, shaped by a formative experience at
Ministry of Sound in London. Deeply influenced by Middle Eastern rhythm and percussion, he
blends melodic house, deep house, and deep tech into immersive, groove-driven journeys.
His sets are defined by textured layers and emotional depth, creating immersive experiences
that resonate on intimate dancefloors, while remaining deeply connected to Halifax’s electronic
music community.
Now a member of Labyrinth, Basem has found a natural home for his sound and philosophy.
Through immersive underground house sets, he continues to craft late-night journeys for
listeners who connect deeply with the music and the cultural narratives woven within it.
