Earlier this week, temper was honoured with Best-in-Class: Bar Design by Tatler Best Singapore 2026. Less than a year since opening, we're deeply humbled by this recognition. It means a great deal to receive an accolade that reflects what we’ve been working so hard to create – a space that is immersive and sensorial, where people don’t just go to, but choose to stay in. At temper, design has always been integral to the experience. Every arch, curve, pixel and shadow shapes and anchors the mood, where wine, music, food, and space come together as one. To our team, our collaborators, @tatlerdiningsg and every guest who has stepped through our doors, thank you. Discover the Jinrikisha, part of temper's Duxton Arts & Culture Cocktail Collection. Derived from the Japanese word meaning "human-powered vehicle", this cocktail pays homage to the late 1800s when rickshaws flourished as Singapore's main transport. The Jinrikisha Station at the junction of Neil Road and Tanjong Pagar Road was built in 1903 as a central depot for rickshaws. Punchy, invigorating and layered, this cocktail reflects the energy of the rickshaw runners who once wove through Duxton. Come by the bar and let Matthew & the team take you on a journey through Duxton.
