Earlier this week, temper was honoured with Best-in-Class: Bar Design by Tatler Best Singapore 2026. Less than a year since opening, we're deeply humbled by this recognition. Last weekend at our first dog adoption drive, the sun showed up, our garden came alive, and for a few hours, it was just people, pups, and a whole lot of love. Willow x Akar: Boys in the Jungle Two nights only: 22 & 23 May This May, Willow welcomes Chef Aidan Low (@aidanlowyx ) of Akar, Kuala Lumpur (@akar_kl ) – one of only a handful of restaurants to be newly awarded one Michelin star, and one of Malaysia’s most compelling voices in modern cuisine devoted to expressing the depth of Malaysian terroir through culinary craft. At Akar –“root” in Malay – Chef Aidan draws deeply from his homeland, one of the world’s oldest rainforests. Working with native produce, wild herbs, and indigenous ingredients, he reveals a side of Malaysia still largely undiscovered. At Willow, Chef Nicolas Tam (@nictkc ) brings quiet precision with playful flavour – an ingredient-driven philosophy shaped by Asian influences and refined through French technique. Together, the two chefs come together not just in collaboration, but in friendship – a shared journey across kitchens, disciplines, and land. Expect a menu that moves through the richness of Malaysia’s indigenous landscape and Asian ingredients – a dialogue between two distinct culinary philosophies, united for just two evenings.
