This wild brew was created in collaboration with Takuya from Japan’s @choryo_craftbeer . Ride the Tiger is a West Coast Pilsner that’s clean and crisp, yet hugely citrusy and hop-forward. We added a blend of Koji rice, which are traditional sake ingredients. White Koji provides natural acid for balance, while the yellow Koji contributes vibrant, fruity aromatics. Later we added grapefruit to complement the citrus dry-hop character of the Citra, Simcoe, and Cryo Chinook hops.
This is a really fun beer that straddles the line between pilsner and west coast IPA, and we had an awesome time brewing with Takuya.

Secretly, our fluffy friend took a trip to the land of kiwis, hobbits…and unicorns? Our one-horned world tourist brought back some cool hops from the Southern Hemisphere that boast flavors of lime zest, gooseberry, passionfruit and clementine. This beloved IPA is back! Juicy and tropical and delicious and available now until it’s extinct.

The Temescal neighborhood was once home to Idora Park, an Edwardian-era amusement park that boasted a roller coaster, lush tropical gardens, a zoo, and the largest skating rink the West. Sadly, the park closed in 1929 in the wake of the stock market crash to make way for housing.
Idora Park (the beer) is an homage to our long lost neighborhood destination. It’s a tropical, dank, and unfiltered West Coast IPA. We used a delectable medley of Bru-1, El Dorado, and Idaho 7 hops to bring out notes of lychee, pineapple, and cannabis. Come by and snag some today.

We have lots of seats, but we do expect to have a full house. Team signups start at 1pm so get in early to grab your spot. Cat Trivia will start promptly at 2p.

Introducing Marbles Pizza, one of our 2025 Kitten Party winners gracing this year’s beer release. Marbles Pizza won us over with the kitty care package he sent us along with treat bribes (hint hint).
Marbles was born in East Oakland and sometimes has a cross-eye after an intense zoomy session that got out of hand. He is quite sensitive about this.
He’s an orange boy who only occasionally gets his chance with the shared brain cell amongst other orange cats. His favorite color is bubblegum pink.
A lover of all things green, Marbles spends his precious cat money on plants to decorate our home. Unfortunately, his beloved Sarracenia plant—his pride and joy—was stolen right from outside our doorstep, leaving him heartbroken. Marbles has a deep fear of bugs, but he admires the Sarracenia for its fearless, bug-eating ways.

Meet Junior Cassara, one our 2025 Kitten Party winners. According to his human, Junior started his life on the mean streets of Newark, CA, and around 10 weeks decided he was ready to be adopted. Now he’s a traveling cat, spending time dad’s and grandpa’s. In his free time, he’s cool cowboy playing with strings, ping pong balls, chasing my tail and making Churu ASMR videos.

NEW BREW: after a long hiatus, Spring Fling has returned. This is one of our Head Brewer Lukas Medina’s first recipes at Temescal a few years ago. Spring Fling is a grisette, a lower ABV style of farmhouse ale that originally came from the Hainut region of Belgium. Far from tradition though, we’ve complemented the expressive Belgian yeast with a subtle addition of rye malt, locally grown apricots, rose petals, and lavender. It’s crisp, complex, and an absolute delight to drink. The perfect springtime quencher.
