COME TO THE AMAZON RAINFOREST WITH ME : To celebrate my 50th 🚀
Traveling far into the heart of the Amazon rainforest was a monumental step on my spiritual journey of healing.
It wasn’t just a visit. It was a cultural immersion with the Yawanawa people and I was so happy to bring my brother
@teisbe to experience and document the trip.
The Yawanawa people faced extinction. Their population dropped to just 180 people in the 1980s after centuries of exploitation, forced labor, and cultural suppression from the Portuguese, Missionaries, and Rubber plantations.
But they fought back. Led by Chief Biraci, they reclaimed their ancestral lands, revived their spiritual practices, and rebuilt their community. Today, over 1,400 Yawanawa thrive in the Acre region of Brazil.
Their connection to our planet, knowledge of plant medicines, and ways of healing are unique and deeply transformative.
I came back home and joined the Board of Directors for Children of the Rainforest, a 501c3 whose mission is to to support the vision of Chief
@iskukua , the son of Chief Biraci. We support his programs to save their language and protect 500,000 acres of pristine Amazon rainforest.
Next year I’m going back, during the first week of August, 2026.
This is your invitation to join me and 30 people coming from all over the world.
They say that people goto the Amazon because they want to save the rainforests. But in reality it’s the Amazon rainforest that saves you.
