This work was made as an experiment for one of my uni tasks centering around formlessness. I made a gimp inspired costume with a noise harness.
Im really intrigued by movement and how magic it feels to dance and move freely to music. Inspired by Bruce Nauman’s “walking in an exaggerated manner around the parameter of a square” 1967, im interested in the role of the boundary and the role of restriction.
How can i hold myself in a parameter when my senses are so distracted by the external methods of movement, restriction and noise.
maybe its time to break out of the parameter and move regardless.

this was a little visualiser experiment video i made for my 21st bday party! its made with old childhood clips and photos. Growing up is so super daunting for me but we all have to live out our own buggish life cycles filled with lessons, passion and magic.

📸: @wonderlesskriy i made this last year as part of a project called “Pronatal Spermicide” with my lovely friend Bailey Abbato (@babbato0 ) lately ive been thinking a lot about the magic of connection through dance and pattern! this piece was pretty inspired by Jemima wyman and her practice of video layering and concepts of pattern and movement 🌟 i was particularly touched by her work “Pattern Bandits” which was showcased last year in GOMA…
Im also quite interested in object connection and using my body as some sort of external force to bind things. Binding music and movement, found objects and discarded trash. Bringing life to the otherwise still.
Every item and material deserves a spot at number 1… every person from every walk of life deserves a spot at number 1… what does it mean to be number 1…. is it even a possible metric to obtain idk breh… maybe we could all dance for a moment and celebrate ourselves for existing
Hey! Come along to Land St Gallery tomorrow for the closing of WASTE to TASTE at 5 to 8pm! Make a scrappy tadpole or enzyme-themed shirt in our workshops whilst conversing and breaking down the digestive metaphors of ARTICHOKE. Also, pandan cake will be in the performative activations (yes, for all to eat too!). Artichoke iced tea to be served 💚
