We are ecstatic to present Automating as a Canadian date on their North American tour.
Pre-sale tickets are $15+fees on Gigpit, and Conduit Gallery's address will be given to ticket holders. Ticket link in bio.
Venue capacity is limited, and an announcement will be made day-of re: door tickets.
Automating has been on a tour of America, Mexico, and Canada, and brings a wild, developed voice that fills the senses. We are grateful to be able to present them in Vancouver.
Automating is supported by local acts H-Vac and TotM.
H-Vac is a local audiovisual synthnoise trio comprised of YMGER, Sys_Exy, and PatchOfDesire. Direct access to the subconscious, deep exploration of tonality, harmony and discord, interdisciplinary practices, deconstructed rhythm, and dream-like dissociation.
Temple of the Moth is an MPC noise artist who brings evolution on the concept of "harsh' and challenges "wall" with heavy progressive compositions.
We are also proud to present this show as our first collaboration with Conduit Gallery. Our venue is street level and there are no stairs inside, the front door width is 30".
Conduit Gallery acknowledges that it is situated on the occupied and unceded ancestral territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwu7mesh (Squamish), and səl̓ilwətaɁɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations, inside a community that continues to be harmed by the workings of colonization and settler-imposed power structures, particularly the war on drugs / war on poverty.
We ask that you ground your time at this show in this awareness, be respectful of the neighbourhood and street entrenched folks, join us in the ongoing work of resisting this violence and creating sustainable communities that benefit people that need support.
