Here’s a behind-the-scenes snippet of @iamdenaun and myself in the studio working out the bassline for @snoopdogg ‘s song “My Friend” off of his new album titled “Iz It A Crime?”.
This is a very special and meaningful song about loved ones who passed on to the other side🌹❤️. You can hear the passion and raw honesty in both Snoop and Denaun’s voices and lyrics.
I’m honored to have been in the room to witness the process of this beautiful creation, from Snoop calling up Denaun one night at 4am to chat and connect about some heavy moments in each of their lives, to the song being finalized to then be released on Snoop’s newest album this past May.

My answer and mindset has always been the same.
Find other amazing, beautiful and talented souls to create and build with.
Long lasting relationships and friendships are worth more to me than any piece of paper or award. But in life we all remember at certain times that it’s only you on your personal journey, and it’s your obligation to celebrate and validate yourself and your wins.
My favorite part of music is creating, connecting and collaborating hands down, but here’s a personal win I can share and will be celebrating for the rest of my life.

The change of the seasons is always an interesting time of year.
Longer days, warmer temperatures, nature and the plants kickin back into gear after their winter slumber.
A moment to look back and reflect on all you have achieved and overcome, cause when you’re working hard, focused and moving a million miles a minute, when things slow down it can be uncomfortable and unsettling.
With all of the uncertainty the universe throws at us, it’s important to stay patient and keep the faith that the seeds planted will sprout and blossom.

This song is about saying goodbye to a loved one, reflecting on the relationship and remembering the good times that were shared.
Don’t forget to appreciate the moment you’re currently in, good or bad, and know that simply being alive will give you another chance at life tomorrow.
