New mix (and pfp!) alert ‼️
Excited to finally share my live opening set from Third Floor Sounds: Foundations last week with DJ Spinna & k.tea. Such a special night all around — the energy in the room was incredible from start to finish, and the dancers absolutely brought the space to life.
For this set, I wanted to keep things warm and patient while building the room to start the night. A mix of afro, soulful, and deep house with a few personal favorites sprinkled in.
Really happy with how this one came together. Full mix is up now on SoundCloud — link in bio. Let me know what y’all think!

Last Thursday was everything we hoped Foundations could be — and then some.
A full room, a beautiful mix of generations, and a dancefloor that never stopped moving. The energy, the connection, the intention behind it all… this one really meant something.
Big thank you to everyone who showed up and gave their energy, to the dancers who brought the floor to life, and to the DJs for guiding the night.
We’re just getting started.

My favorite recent vinyl find! 🇰🇷
I came across my first Korean deep house record last week at @humanheadnyc and was immediately drawn in. What stood out most is the way the first track opens with a radio station sample. It felt instantly nostalgic — I grew up listening to WBLS in the car, and those voices snd sounds have really stayed with me.
The record is AMON.CIN — Audio Smith Vol.03 “Charles.” The “Audio Smith” series is built around the idea of craftsmanship, treating sound like something shaped and forged. This project leans into that through sampling, pulling from soul, funk, and jazz as source material.
I’ve always found it inspiring to hear how other countries interpret and reshape American music genres. This is a beautiful example of that. Shoutout to the Korean producers pushing things forward!
The best dance floors feel familiar.
DJ Spinna on why community sits at the center of it all. The same faces. The shared moments. The feeling of something building over time.
That kind of connection doesn’t come from reach—it comes from intention… sometimes as simple as a personal invite, passed hand to hand.

Not every generation hears music the same way.
DJ Spinna on why different eras connect to different sounds—and why that’s not a bad thing.
What moves one crowd might not hit the same for another. And understanding that is part of the craft.

Can you identify the sample? 👀
Been slowly going through my dad’s CD collection and finding some real gems… this one stopped me in my tracks. Instantly heard the Kaytranada reference.
Let’s see who catches it before the reveal!

DJ Spinna on intention behind every record, and what gets lost when we rush through them. The details, the dynamics, the emotion… it’s all part of the story.
