My talk focused on the importance of finding yourself and doing what you love, and how that ties into experiential design,how spaces we interact with shape our lives and character. Tamer Hashem is an Egyptian musician and actor. He is a founding member and drummer of @cairokee , one of Egypt’s most prominent independent rock bands, formed in 2003. His drumming shaped the band’s sound through two decades of albums and live performances across the world, including their rise as a voice of a generation during the 2011 Egyptian Revolution.
Beyond music, Tamer built a steady acting career with roles in Sabe’ Gar, Blue Elephant 2, Ali Baba, and Hekayat Banat, among others. He also appeared in the Watch IT original series Rivo, where he played a drummer navigating art and identity.
Born and raised in Maadi, Cairo, Tamer Hashem continues to move between the stage and the screen as one of Egypt’s most recognized creative figures.
