Precise, infectious and unique, Kabuto’s control fully absorbs you into the groove. Through his Daze of Phaze and Lair parties, Kabuto is committed to underground acts the world over, showcasing DJs that move him while not buying into the hype. Techworld: Antwork & Kabuto (KR/JP) We kick off our first of the year with an extended B2B from two Techworld favourites; Antwork and Kabuto. Both key DJs in their respective scenes, Kabuto’s Daze of Phaze party holds legendary status between Osaka and Tokyo, while Antwork is the owner of crucial Seoul club RING. Individually they brought the house down with their Techworld sets, playing dark and groovy slammers from across the house/techno/electro continuum while retaining the individuality and steeze for which they are known. Together they have held down B2B’s at the likes of Tokyo’s Womb and the aforementioned RING. As such, it is with great pleasure that we present Kabuto and Antwork’s first B2B set outside their home shores. On support Techworld’s Sandpit Alias sets the mood on the roof while miscmeg warms up the club. With regards to the date, so called ‘Australia Day’ is a blight on the collective culture and history of the land that we are throwing this event on. Techworld vehemently stands against the celebration of a day that represents genocide and colonisation. Techworld & Miscellania operate on the stolen lands of the Wurundjeri and Boon Wurrung people of the Kulin Nation. Techworld: Bruno Schmidt (UK) Techworld returns to Misc, with one last day into night party for the year. This time, featuring Bruno Schmidt, amidst a star cast of Techworld favourites. Since honing his craft with a residency at the legendary Mint Club in Leeds from the tender age of 19, Bruno Schmidt has gone from strength to strength in spreading the heady, funky, psychedelic, electro leaning gospel to the dancefloor masses ever since. In between his constant touring schedule, Bruno can be found working on his two labels Domesticated and Assemblies of God, hosting the seminal Rinse FM show Reset Your Brain, or programming Bulgaria’s Meadows in the Mountains festival, for which he has been a booker for the last 12 years. All speak to his experience and singular vision as a tastemaker that rides the edge, delivering transcendent dancefloor moments that will perfectly accompany the end of year lunacy Techworld is known for. Most illustrious are their now-rare 7am starts, providing the perfect foil for particularly unhinged partiers to send it all day, or for early risers to roll in to a fully tweaked dancefloor in the early hours of the morning.⁠ ⁠ This Techworld sees them inviting a bucket list booking of theirs, legendary French DJ 𝙄𝙫𝙖𝙣 𝙎𝙢𝙖𝙜𝙜𝙝𝙚, who embodies the diggers' mentality championed by Techworld. A titanic figure with an uncompromising commitment to left-field sounds, eclecticism, and tweaked enjoyment.
