From growing up on a potato farm in Bavaria to building AI-powered agricultural technology — we’re excited to introduce our Community Member of the Month: @karevo_gmbh ! 🚜🥔 Karevo automates agricultural quality control with AI-based potato and onion sorting machines, helping farmers improve efficiency while extending the lifetime of existing equipment through smart retrofitting solutions. In this interview, Benedikt Kessler (CEO & co-founder), who grew up on a family potato farm and later studied Mechanical Engineering at TUM, shares insights into the founding journey of Karevo, the realities of modern farming, and how AI can support more sustainable agricultural processes. Since winning our @growthalliance_agrifood Bootcamp 2025, Karevo has successfully launched its product, installed 10 machines already in operation, and continued scaling its team. On Monday, we concluded our open call for applications for the third edition of the TQ Accelerator: Digital Finance. In total, 66 startups applied from more than 15 countries. After looking through the applications, a few points stood out:

 - #FinTech is entering its next phase with a big focus on AI-first, infrastructure-driven, and built for regulation. And Frankfurt is right at the center of it. - Many startups are early-stage and seeking PoCs, pilot projects, and real-world validation. - The Accelerator offers something truly desired and needed - Access to the financial ecosystem and to strategic partnerships. - Only 10-15% of the startups have at least one female founder. Female representation is present but still significantly underrepresented, especially in deep fintech and infrastructure startups.

🌟 Team Tuesday Feature! Say hello to Anna Kocis, our new intern supporting the @growthalliance_agrifood 🚀   Originally from a small town near Frankfurt, Anna’s journey has already taken her through Fulda, Munich, and even Budapest — bringing along her Hungarian roots and a strong curiosity for innovation. Before joining us, she gained hands-on experience in product development at Döhler and worked as a social media manager for Hessen-Technikum, where she helped promote equality and support women in STEM. After completing her degree in Food Technology, she dove deeper into the food startup world at @djoon_foods in Munich (yes — lots of date chocolate involved 🍫). Along the way, Anna also took a bold step into entrepreneurship with her own startup — which, as she puts it, “ended in a spectacular failure,” but turned into an incredibly valuable learning experience. Today, she channels that knowledge into freelance product development, supporting new food and product concepts. When it comes to the future, Anna keeps things refreshingly open: “I have many ideas and dreams I want to explore step by step — without pressure, just staying open to opportunities.”   Outside of work, you’ll most likely find her experimenting in the kitchen (vegan chocolate rolls included), painting, swimming, or taking care of her ever-growing plant collection 🌱   So why TQ?
