𝐇𝐞𝐲 𝐊𝐢𝐝, 𝐘𝐨𝐮’𝐥𝐥 𝐁𝐞 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐞. 𝐎𝐮𝐭 𝐍𝐨𝐰 1. Hey Kid, You’ll Be Fine The ones who know those melodies and riffs know what’s up. This is a love letter to that boy catching the 15 bus on Evans Avenue to Royal York Station so he could get his ass downtown. This is a love letter to every person who has been listening and supporting this music in the many different forms it has taken. I poured my entire heart and soul into this album, and it’s as horribly imperfect as I am, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I want to thank my parents for all the love and support you’ve given, you’ve been pillars of strength for me over the years. I want to thank my late Grandfather for being the reason I decided to continue with music, I wouldn’t be here without you. I want to thank every last musician who has come and gone on this amazing musical journey with me so far, you’ve all been wonderful. I want to thank everyone I’ve befriended, everyone I’ve loved, everyone who has left a lasting impression on me either good or bad, all of you have taught me so much, and I wish you nothing but the best. I want to say an enormous thank you to the fans listening, whether you’re here from Lover Boy or it was my cold DM’s back on Tumblr trying to just get people to give my music a shot, I literally would not be here without your support. Finally, I want to say thank you to my amazing partner for quite literally telling me to just hurry up and put the damn album out, I owe you my thanks for your support, and everyone owes you their thanks for shutting me up. 𝐇𝐞𝐲 𝐊𝐢𝐝, 𝐘𝐨𝐮’𝐥𝐥 𝐁𝐞 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐞. 𝐎𝐮𝐭 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟕𝐭𝐡 12. Anybody But You Relationships fall apart for a million different reasons. There’s a tendency to think that it’s some insurmountable issue where there was no way a couple could figure things out, but I think a lot of the time it’s just a build up of a lot of really small things. Death by a thousand cuts as opposed to one heavy blow. Sometimes you could have a million things going your way with someone, but just never seem to catch a break with life happening around you both. You end up being a nuisance and things just erode over time. So I guess this was my love song for falling apart.

𝐇𝐞𝐲 𝐊𝐢𝐝, 𝐘𝐨𝐮’𝐥𝐥 𝐁𝐞 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐞. 𝐎𝐮𝐭 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟕𝐭𝐡 21. I’m Still The One This was the first song I ever wrote for the album. In a lot of ways, this track is the embodiment of everything that the album is supposed to be; me giving a hug, waving goodbye and closing a chapter with a smile on my face. I was such a different person when I entered that relationship, and I have such an immense amount of gratitude for the experiences I had. Both good and bad. My favourite colour is no longer red. I’m not scared driving downtown anymore, and maybe Too Hot To Handle changed my opinion on reality television after all. All that to say, you can sit and think about the past for a little, but eventually you’ve got to close that door behind you so you can open another.
