Every founder we talk to has a different answer to this:
What actually makes an accelerator worth it?
We asked founders from our recent GROW Accelerator cohort to share their favourite moment from the experience.
2026 cohort applications are open (rolling). Link in bio 🔗

There’s a point in every startup where things start to work... and suddenly, it’s not clear what to do next. You’ve got early customers. You’re gaining traction. There’s even some revenue.
But growth inevitably starts to get more complex:
➡️ Which channel do you double down on?
➡️ How do you structure your next stage of sales?
➡️ What actually moves you toward investment readiness?
➡️ Where should you be spending your time?
These are the challenges that GROW Accelerator is built to help you overcome.
Over six months, you’ll work alongside experienced founders and coaches to build a clearer path forward across sales, marketing, finance, IP, and growth strategy—with up to $10,000 in matched funding.
We’re supporting 18 early-stage companies across Southwestern Ontario this year, with dedicated spots for urban, rural, and women-led ventures. Apply by June 1, 2026: link in bio.

SR&ED just opened up in a big way but it’s also getting harder to navigate.
More companies can access refunds. Equipment is back. Limits are higher. But most teams are still trying to figure out:
➡️ What actually qualifies?
➡️ How does this impact our IRAP or other funding?
➡️ Who claims what in a contract?
➡️ Are we structuring this the right way?
We’re bringing in Scitax Advisory Partners LP to break it down and help you approach these changes with clarity.
If you’re responsible for funding R&D, this is worth your time.

💸 Hey ladies..it's not you, it's the system.
Only 2–3% of VC funding goes to women-led companies.
So how do we actually change that?
🇨🇦 I had a really insightful chat with Christina Fox, CEO of
TechAlliance, about what needs to shift.

👋 Hey, ladies: $150 billion in economic contribution. 1.5 million jobs. And only 3% of venture capital. Something doesn't add up.
💰The facts: Women-owned businesses contribute $150 billion to the Canadian economy and employ more than 1.5 million people. Women-led businesses generate 63% more value and 2x as much per dollar invested, yet women entrepreneurs receive barely 3% of venture capital funding in Canada.
To chat more about how we can change this and why it matters, Christina Fox, CEO at TechAlliance of Southwestern Ontario, joined me in our studio in Toronto for The AmberMac Show podcast.
