Two of our team members and a generous volunteer attended the London Newcomer event this weekend to promote the MyLondon app and show newcomers how the newcomer experience is different and designed specifically for their journey, with features built to support their unique challenges, milestones, and opportunities. This was our first major community promotion since launching just six weeks ago, and to our surprise, many attendees had already downloaded the app! The positive feedback was incredible. Hearing directly from families about their excitement was both touching and a powerful reminder of our mission. We’ve just passed 4,000 Londoners on MyLondon, and this is only the beginning. Stay tuned, there’s so much more to come!

Really excited about this project. Six weeks ago, we launched a first of its kind community super app in London Ontario for everyone living in and visiting the city. S/O to @cbcnews , @lfpress and @ctvnews for featuring this project, and interviewing me and @welcomeplatform . Can't wait to share all the insights we're already gathering. Swipe ➡️ to see the guys that keep it rocking.

📣 It’s happening! At the @welcomeplatform , our long-term vision is to build the backbone in a world of fully connected communities. We imagine a future where every community is seamlessly connected. Where residents can access services in seconds, respond to polls with a tap, and get personalized support from AI-powered assistants. A world where families find the right programs effortlessly, and where newcomers, tourists, students, and workers instantly feel at home. We believe that more connected communities lead to more prosperity for all. And we believe now is the right time for cities to reimagine how digital experiences can serve their people. That’s why I’m excited to share that we’re taking the first major step toward that vision this year in London, Ontario, in partnership with the incredible team at @londonedc . This is a bold move—and it takes a bold city like London to make it happen. The LEDC team is building a future for residents, newcomers, students, and visitors without waiting to follow others, or being afraid of being first. From the start, we knew this type of project would require a trailblazing community. People who are, what I like to call “municipal mavericks”. LEDC has been exactly that, and more. Motivated, thoughtful, and genuinely committed to improving the lives of Londoners. I couldn’t imagine a better team to lead the charge on a first of its kind project like this. More details coming soon!

Through a partnership with our Local Immigration Partnership and the Sarnia Sting hockey club, we are proud to support this incredible initiative. The program has helped over 100 newcomers experience one of Canada’s favourite pastimes for the very first time. We look forward to more initiatives like this one, as we work towards our ultimate goal of helping over 1 million people feel at home in Canada.
