📣 Coming soon - long acting injectable HIV PrEP on the NHS in England! Long acting injectable cabotegravir will be available for people who can’t take PrEP in tablet form. The injection lasts 2 months and will be available through NHS sexual health services. The injection works just as well as PrEP in tablet forms. The injection is expected to be made available to up to 1,000 people in England. ❗️People who might be offered injectable PrEP include: ➡️ those who cannot swallow tablets ➡️ people taking other medicines that can’t be taken with oral PrEP ➡️ people in unstable housing situations ➡️ people experiencing domestic violence Injectable PrEP won’t be offered to people who have no problems taking PrEP in pill formats.

A massive shout out to the 100s of people who chatted, engaged, smiled or high-fived us at U.K. Black Pride. Along with our NHS sexual health clinic buddies we provided sexual health vaccines to over 100 people; we distributed 2,000 f*ckpacks; we did our second urinal take-over with info about the new online PrEP service; and distributed bucket-loads of Little Back Pocket Guides. 📢 A new national gonorrhoea vaccination programme launches on 1st August 2025 across the UK. 💉The vaccination is available for FREE on the NHS through sexual health clinics. You can get FREE NHS sexual health vaccinations regardless of your immigration status. 🏥 Clinics will start implementing the programme from the start of August, with the scheme being rolled out through the summer. Check with your clinic to see when the vaccination is available locally. Read more about the vaccination, who is eligible to access it, how many doses are needed, and where to get it from our extensive online guide at /menb (link in bio). 😍 The vaccination programme has become available thanks to research and activism of very many people, including queer health researchers and activists.
